Looks like the second coming of Drew Brees! I used to watch Drew play at Westlake and it's gosh darn similar...good arm.

The dude definitely knows how to avoid a pass rush... 2 or 3 guys running free at him on every play. Perfect fit for the new system...

I'm a little surprised Mitchell wasn't rated more favorably on Rivals/Scout. Playing for the #1 5A team in Texas, I find it hard to believe that scouts didn't get plenty of looks at him. Players from Katy signed with the following programs: UCLA, Rice, A&M (2), and South Carolina.

He shows above average arm strength and mobility, with excellent accuracy. Is it just a matter of height? I definitely think this is one of the more polished QB's SMU has signed in recent history. I still hope he gets the opportunity to red shirt.

Red shirt may not matter. He may draft in two years in he's JJ'd up by then.
