Note that that's Houston Strake Jesuit and not Dallas Jesuit.

I clicked the link and was like, "Then did we change our school colors? That's got to be Strake." Sure enough it said so in the first line of the article, but if any of you don't click the link, just wanted clarify.

It sure seems like Scout is doing a much better job on following our stuff than Rivals does. Rivals spends their time following the Top 30 guys in the country, and that is about it.

I agree. I never subscribed to Rivals because there was so little info dealing with the mid-majors. If Scout continues to do the kind of job they are doing, I think I am going to subscribe to them.

the SMU Scout site is doing great-but there is a much deeper problem with Scout-it is that their entire ranking system is unreliable. They hundreds of 3 star guys who never get offers and hundreds of 1 star guys with multiple top offers. Don't believe me-I give you exhibit A-SMU's Scout site has SMU involved with 6 uncommitted 3 star players-with a grand total of a single offer to a single prospect. That's pathetic because there are probably 200 players in Texas who have already received reported offers. Its a systemic problem At Scout that won't be fixed just by a good local affiliate. They are just not accurate on who the Top most highly recruited players are in Texas. Rivals during any particular year covers up to about 500 texas prospects-much deeper in the talent pool than Scout. Very few Scout sites in Texas are active-hopefully, that will change and they will become more reliable. They never have been in the past though. I think its great though that we have a local affiliate specifically targeting SMU prospects.

Here is a bump on James Scott that has more detail in the article about his speed, academics, etc.
