Jones Goes After South Grand Prairie's DeWayne Peace

Southern Methodist University Head Football Coach June Jones is going after some of the top talent in the state and is focusing a lot of effort in the metroplex area.
One local athlete that recently received an offer from SMU is South Grand Prairie's Dewayne Peace.
Peace confirmed with PonyStampede.com Sunday night that he has interest in the Mustangs.
"I have two offers right now," Peace said. "SMU and Kansas have offered me so far, I definitely have a lot of interest in SMU."
Peace, a 6-foot-0, 180-pound athlete that runs a 4.49 forty is one of the area's top wide receivers. The stand out wide out ended his junior season with 285 yards and three touchdowns.
Peace has made one trip to the SMU campus this spring and came away impressed with the local campus.
"It was great, a very nice campus," Peace said. "I loved the great weight room. I will attend camp there this summer on the 14th."
One thing that impresses Peace about SMU is the Mustangs new offense under Coach Jones.
"That offense is a dream for any wide receiver to play in," Peace said. "It would also be cool to play close to home. If I needed to go home I could, and my parents could see me play every weekend."
Peace scored a 1,000 on the SAT as a sophomore but plans on taking it again, he currently holds a 3.39 G.P.A.
