Not as solid as you would like in a "COMMITTMENT". It is more like he has chosen to lock in a safety valve. I wonder what that east Texas coach that hates us would say about the statements this kid made.

Is his HS coach any relation to the former all-SWC defensive end from TCU out of Seminole, TX?
Is Cooper where Ryan Harp is from?

I'm not too thrilled with the stability of the commitment:
"That's not to take anything from SMU. They're a great school, it's a great education, they have great facilities and there's a new coach that's going to turn around the program," Henderson said. "I'm committed to SMU. I'm just keeping the door open."
But the last guy we got from Abilene Cooper also was named Brandon (Bonds) ... and he turned out just fine. Let's hope this guy sticks with his commitment.
Welcome to SMU, Brandon!

No the Bonds as well as Ronald Morris came from 2A Cooper. Henderson is from Abilene Cooper which is a much bigger school-I think in the "Little SWC" although I think they broke that district up some. He is in Texas Football's video files if anyone subscribes to that service

You're exactly right. After I wrote that, I checked on Bonds... My mistake.
Anyway, hope this guy has a great senior season, grows another couple of inches and becomes a Mustang in February.

Must have pretty good speed because as a Soph in 2006 he was the team's Most Valuable Defensive Back. Interesting. Pretty good for a Soph in a tough 5A District

The Little SWC was the old 5-5A. Abilene High, Abilene Cooper, Permian, Odessa High, Midland, Midland Lee, San Angelo Central. Also of Note Abilene Cooper is moving down to 4A this year per the article.
