Am I delirious, or are the new coaches trying harder to reach out into Louisiana for players?

He squats 585 and runs a 4.8 40. Louisiana is only one coach's area. I guess he ran into a gold mine over there.

Obviously Texas is huge and spits out a bunch of players every year. But I read someplace that in comparison to state population, Louisiana is right up there with Florida as a state that produces the most top-shelf talent. Let's go digging for gold.

It is my understanding that Alabama is #1 for players compared to population size, but Louisiana and the rest of the South are not far behind.

OK, go raid Bama for some big boys, too.

I just found some links to articles that talk about this. The Rivals article below references NFL players per capita. DC appears to lead the list for the year reviewed, but South Carolina leads the states.

There was a bigger market for Cogs in Monroe.
