Rice had over 160 recruits at their Mini Camp on Friday, the biggest one there decided he had found a home...
Burton Offensive Lineman Jon Hodde committed to play football for Rice yesterday. Hodde attended a Rice Football Mini Camp on Friday and decided to end the recruiting process with a committment to Coach David Bailiff on Friday night.
Hodde is every bit of 6-7 285 pounds, runs a 5.2 second 40, and will play Offensive Tackle for the Owls.
Despite flying under the radar playing at Class 1A Burton, area recruiter Craig Naivar discovered Hodde months ago and he's had a Rice offer for some time now. The trip to campus and meeting the Owl staff was all Hodde needed to pull the trigger.
We'll have more on Hodde later today, and are hoping to get a few comments from him.
