I think he is originally from Florida then when to Palomar JC and then Pima JC last year. Here's a Youtube that I believe is him.

Looks like Coach Jones is serious about the defense.

Adding Bennie Thomas and Deyon McElroy gives us two solid new corners. Not to mention Chris Banjo who will probably start as a frosh.
Good job coach Jones!!

This is a great opportunity for me. I can’t wait to get on the field and help SMU when some ballgames.â€

Maybe we could get a jc DT that could be here in the fall. Seems to me we need depth at that more than anything. Maybe i am wrong though.

Maintaining a database about kids you've never seen doesn't make you a writer.

What in the world would make you say that? Because he was good in high school? EVERY recruit was a stud in high school. Banjo might play, and who knows, he might even start. But right away? Who are you suggesting he start in front of? Rock Dennis? De'Von Bailey? Tyler Jones? Bryan McCann? Derrius Bell? Deyon McElroy? Tim Crosby?
We know you're proud of your son, and that's just swell, but what say you tap the brakes a little on putting him into the starting lineup, huh?

Bad day?

I doubt Banjo has FS speed and I doubt that he beats out Rock Dennis at SS. Banjo is not a college CB from what I've seen. I doubt he starts unless there are injuries.

Kind of what I was thinking, Stallion. I think he CAN start in college. Just not sure he's ready to start yet, and not ready to pencil ANY freshman into the starting lineup.
And no, I did not have a bad day, unless you consider that cloud of realism that hangs over me to be a real downer.
Hope this guy is as good as advertised, and I have no reason to believe he won't. But I'd love it if he  and the rest of the freshmen  can redshirt, if only because the guys ahead of them are playing well. They won't all redshirt, of course, but I assume a freshman will until Coach Jones says otherwise.
