Haven't seen his name listed but has an offer from SMU. 3 year starter at Kilgore, 6-2/289/5.0. Kid is a beast.

If he was a 3 year starter at Kilgore, I guess you mean Kilgore HS and not Kilgore college 8)

Vince is a nice player, although I don't rank him as highly as some of the other Texas offensive linemen SMU is recruiting (Joel Gray, LaAdrian Waddle, Stefan Huber, etc.), but he's a good player. He doesn't have the longest arms in the world, making him a definite guard in college after playing multiple offensive line spots in high school, but he's very thick, especially in his lower body. He pulls quickly and when he gets out in motion and gets his pads low, he can blow up defenders. He has pretty good quickness for a guy his size (I have him at 280, but my last report was a few months ago), and blocks in a brawling style. Without the long arms that allow blockers to hold their defenders at bay, he excels at standing and battling hand-to-hand. Needs to get stronger in his arms and chest, and definitely would benefit from a redshirt year.

Keep in mind that we need 14 to 16 of these guys.

Bring in the HERD of big men.

If we got 14-16 this year, that would be the entire recruiting class.

Welcome back, Guru - where have you been? Your reports are always appreciated here. Let's have some more!
