This guy has about 6 offers although almost all are non-BCS -and most of them came within the last month. This is a legitimate prospect who might soon get some more BCS offers. His stock is rising fast. Offers SMU, Rice, Syracuse, Southern Miss, UCF and Houston

If we get Hughes, what would that mean for Joey Fontana?
Am I right that Hughes is the No. 1 center in Texas and Fontana is the No. 2 center in the nation?
With Hughes' height, maybe he can grow into an offensive tackle?

in recruiting if you convert 1/5 (really for SMU 1/10) of your top targets to signees you are kicking [deleted]. You commit quality and move on from there. Actually Hughes will probably grow into a Guard or even a Tackle anyway if he isn't already there. He has a verified measurement of 6-4.5 by Rivals and is listed at 6-5 by Scout.

Also, Fontana played guard a lot last year so that is a possibility as well.
