Dude, our whole class won't be 18 players - of all positions combined. Very small senior class.

We have two linemen (Miller, Hughes) thus far.

I'd wager a pretty big chunk of my pride that we get more than 18 players. I think even PB beat that pretty regularly.

Texas Football also reports that we have the two Fraziers, Maquis 6'4 280 and Wayne 6'5 300.

Yes, when he had that many spots available.
Unless there's more attrition than usual, we don't.
Hope you're right, though.

We have had quite a bit of attrition I believe. Mapps, Gumbo, Hudman, and many others I am sure.

We only have 5 Offense Line Positions in the Run and Fun and 2 DLM positions on defense. Why would you sign more than 5 maybe 6 Offensive Lineman and 3-4 Defensive Linemen per year. Linemen usually get redshirted so that would be 25-30 Offensive Lineman over a 5 year period. That don't make too much sense. This offense requires more WR recruits than an ordinary team.

I don't think Wayne is a commit. Scout called him and he told them he hadn't committed to anyone yet.

I would expect us to land around 20-21 scholarships for the year. As one poster already noted, we've had a fair amount of attrition from the guys who couldn't get their act together so we should have a decent sized recruiting class. This class is also shaping up quite nicely at this early stage.
Back off Warchild seriously.

I'm not sure where this statistic is available, but how many walk-ons did we get last year?

And if they earn a scholarship after freshman year, how does that effect what we're talking about?

From what I understand we will have to grayshirt at least 4 players from the 2008 class because we signed 29 instead of the 25 permitted. That will take 4 scholarships away from this year's class.
