Tivy has a great program, and I'm sure this kid is a disciplined kid who can come in and get the job done.

Pretty impressive athletic ability for a big kid. There are so many top QBs in Texas this year with commitments from top Texas QBs so far to schools like Michigan, UT, LSU, Arkansas, Tennessee, Miami, Arizona, Kansas, TCU, Tech etc. (Whew pretty impressive list) Another top unsigned QB is Drew Allen who has about 10 offers. This year could be similiar to the big year for QBs in which Drew Brees was overlooked. Texas Football now produces some outstanding QBs prospects thanks to the proliferation of 7 on 7 Tournaments and wide open offenses-yet there is still a guy around who is 6-4, 200 and runs a 4.56.

Hard to believe this kid is not more heavily recruited.

I saw that StampedeJames (scout site; ponystampede) had dropped this kids name as a teaser yesterday. If Palmer is accurate, with a quick release and mobility then that is great. Here are his stats from 2007, mined from another posters link.

Comp/Att: 189/273
Comp %: 69.23
Passing Yrds: 2348
TD/int: 27/9
Rushing Yrds: 659
Rushing TD: 11

Would Hollingshead matriculate to Old Miss or SMU, assuming Palmer is offered (with the advantage of being the son of an SMU employee for tuition purposes) ?

Yep looks like my kind of "sleeper". If he stays healthy-don't expect him to be overlooked for long.

JJ and Dan Morrison are known for finding Diamonds in the rough. Wow, the kid completed 69% of his passes. Either he or Hollingshead would be a nice fit at SMU.
