previous reports had him committing to TCU over SMU. Unfortunately they failed to clear up the commitment status of his teammate Tanner Brock whose commitment status to TCU is also in some doubt. Brock has considered offers from SMU and many others.

From the story,
"Josh has not made his decision yet," Copperas Cove coach Jack Welch said over the phone on Tuesday. "Some of those internet Web sites are just gossip and not fact."
Really? Are you serious? I can't believe that. I thought they were the gospel. And here all along I thought we could put blind faith in them. Geez, I am disappointed!!!

Hopefully coach Odum read this or the newspaper article and is on the phone. SMU would be wise to acknoweldge the wealth of D1 talent that comes out of Copperas Cove.

Coach Welch wants complete control of all access to his players and all info coming out. Coaches schedule through him even official visits by players.
Boyce committed to TCU but that wasn't supposed to get out.

Knowing the goings on with that staff like I do, that doesn't surprise me. In fact, I think they have 2 assistant coaches being paid by the district to only coach. They don't even teach a class. That information is about 2 years old.
The bunker mentality of hs coaches can be so irritating. See the ridiculous Mike Owens at Tyler Lee.

If YOU were going to TCU, would you want anyone to know?

Two coaches that don't teach a class? Including the head coach? Wow! They have been pretty competitive and seem to place a few kids in colleges. How are you privy to so much info about them?

It went through the wrong channels. FWIW Boyce is committed to TCU despite what is said in the article.
