Florida receives commit of OL "gamble"

UF gets a commit from a 6'5" 257lb OT. Isn't he too small to play OL why would they sign him...Of wait hes 15 and only finished his Sophomore year. I didnt even know they could offer scholarships until their Jr year.

The can make recruiting contact, including offers starting June 1 prior to their junior year in HS, so as long as he passed his courses he could be offered.

Contact can be made prior to that for purposes of sending general info on the school, camps, etc. and coaches can talk to him during camps and even say they would like to offer, but written offers cannot go out until the above date.
