At least there is a solid reason behind this. I for the life of me cannot figure out how Baylor went so quickly from a virtual death penalty to landing top national recruits. Drew must be magical.

It is an interesting strategy considering he will be a one and done player in college. Of course I know nothing of the coaching ability of this guy, so he may be a good coach and he may provide an additional pipeline to other talent from that AAU team. It is certainly worth the risk

if thie guy is a one and done i hope he takes a lesson from barnes....you will get good players but you wont get great ones because they want to play on an overall good team that wont break up every year

Great players are probably going to be one and done anyway.

Wall could be a 2 year player. Scott Drew is a monster on the trail, but their is something pretty fishy about a kid, the #1 player in the country, who grew up on Tobbacco Road, and has Okla St, Oregon & Baylor as his 3 finalists.

I'd say the Baylor part of the equation is pretty legit considering they are bringing his coach on board. However, I am pretty skeptical about Baylor's other hoops recruits over the past few seasons. It all just has a hard time passing the smell test for me...

That's the point. The only reason Baylor or any of those school were on the list is b/c they entertained the idea of hiring his AAU coach/handler. That's how his list was compiled. Its not illegal and never has been, but it's borderline. I would imagine Drew is using Wall as the big push to move on. Get two years out of the kid, unprecedented results at Baylor, find a better program, that simple.
I know for a fact that a school like MAryland, provided Gary Williams leaves in the next year or two, would give him huge money, state of the art facilities, and fertile recruiting ground. Not to mention their new deal w/Under Armour

That makes a lot of sense. You're probably on target with that.
When will I start feeling stimulated??
