You don't have to confuse recent LMU basketball with the late Hank Gathers, Bo Kimble era. LMU, now being coached by former UNLV coach Bill Bayno, went 5-26 and 2-12 in West Coast Conference play in 2008-09.

Bayno just took over this spring. LMU has to climb a ladder that includes Gonzaga, St. Mary's and San Diego. I wish DuBois luck.

EDIT: And in my opinion, this is a clear sign that he went to a place where he thought he would get instant playing time because the Lions were so bad.

Of the 6 guards on the 07-08 roster, three were seniors. The other three will be a sophomore, junior and senior respectively. LMU signed two guards and now Dubois. I guess depending on those signees' ability, I'm sure Dad sized them up and thought Jared would outshine them.

We'll see.

That last post on his personal life makes me want to pull for the guy. Hope he does turn it around. Good luck to Jared as well.

The one thing Bayno can do is recruit. They will give teams trouble in upcoming years, especially w/them being in the hunt for National Top 70 player, Terrell Vinson. Kid is a great baller and Bayno has done remarkable work getting him to visit etc.

True, but he didn't meet expectations at UNLV. Think he only took them to one NCAA tournament and several NITs.

Really, no one has at UNLV until Lon Krueger got there.

You programmed your time machine to come back to 2008, not 2009. Can you tell me who will win this year's Super Bowl? I could win a lot of money.

Clever. Ah, the Vikings because of the great Adrian Peterson. Of course, there is some bias there.
