Someone brought this up in another thread, but I never saw an answer. There was a rather large human being in street clothes at practice Friday morning. The coaches seemed to take special care in greeting and talking with him. Any idea who the kid was?

I asked about him, and was told his name isn't Clarence, although it's something close to that. He was there again this morning.

Many of the football players on the SMU Mustang squad come from the Dallas-area, and most come from the state of Texas. Coach Jones has the name recognition and proven record to attract quality players from all over the country, and having recruited for only 3 weeks this year, he was able to bring in Will Densmore from the small town of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida.

You really should not post articles that people pay for onto this website. It is articles like this one that the people that write for ponystampede.com are counting on in order to support their livelihood.

Exactly! They are doing great work over there, and deserve support. Its important to not to steal premium info, or it'll all go down in flames. The more well-supported SMU sites, the better

Yes, that's the guy, although everything I've seen has him listed as Terren Jones.

And I concur on the posting articles thing - it is important to support full-time SMU correspondents. Wouldn't hurt to throw a few posts there way too on their forums.

Just think what Clarence would look like after two years with Vic. Plus 3 inches on the chest, 2 off the middle and Bad to the Bone.

One problem is that we already have 6 OL recruits for this class. If we take this guy and Fontana, we will have "OD'd" on OLs. Now don't get me wrong, I would take him in a second, but I think we would have to convert some of the previous OL commits to DL where we can always use some size.
