Memphis Lands 4 BCS Transfers

The University of Memphis signed 4 BCS transfers over the summer -- a quarterback who originally signed with Maryland and will be eligible this fall, and defensive players from Miss. State, Minn. and Auburn, who will have to sit out a year. Here's the URL:

DeFurr is the kid who changed several positions and then got into it with another player at practice so he walked off the field and quit the team.

McGee never got into the U. He signed his letter but didn't make it because of grades. So he went to a JUCO. Sounded like he was fighting it academically.
I don't think the Gophers were counting on him anyway. He was a 3-star kid a couple of years ago.
