Offers from Alabama, Arizona, Kentucky, Miami, Mich St., Purdue. Rated 3 Stars and 5.6. I really think Bailiff as far as recruiting goes is a little bit more competitive than he usually gets credit for under the circumstances which I sense lately have been eased somewhat. I know they certainly have stepped up early recruiting which was non-existent under Harfield. They've got 6-7 credible prospects with quality offers.

you should've graduated HS early and enrolled somewhere else for a semester. Then went to SMU. And you'd have your very own "SMU gets TOP BCS transfer" thread.

No...that would be most over self-hyped.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

We haven't lowered academic standards, if that's what you're implying, although I understand we have streamlined the process some. We have been working on facilities, which really languished over the second half of Hatfield's tenure. The big differences are that our coaches are starting a lot earlier as you noted, they understand how to sell the school, and they are not afraid to go after prospects with other offers.
Fanuzzi is a nice addition. We'll have a 3-way competition for the starting job next year.
