Interesting that JJ was responsible for his only 2 offers before UCLA jumped in.

His first scholarship offer came from Hawaii. When Warriors coach June Jones left for SMU after the Sugar Bowl, another scholarship offer came - from SMU.

"I certainly think he's the kind of talent that deserves to be heavily recruited," Neuheisel said of Craft. "I think he's got, certainly, a strong enough arm. I think he's got a quick arm. I think his accuracy will get better as he learns to use his feet."

Craft said he received plenty of interest from schools, including Arizona State and North Carolina, but junior college quarterbacks typically do not elicit many scholarship offers. The feeling is that quarterbacks take time to develop, and most schools take at least one quarterback per recruiting class, so taking a junior college transfer can often signal a program is giving up on a quarterback already in the program.

Now he is starting for UCLA. Thanks for the info Garrett. Just goes to show you that JJ has a good eye for talent. Look forward to seeing what kind of year Kyle Padron has in this his senior year in HS.

Is anyone going to the SLC game on Saturday? I'd really like to hear how this kid does.

They kick off at 4:30. I heard his WRs had a lot of drops in their scrimmaga against Grapevine last week.

I hope he does well, but you couldn't pay me to go watch HS football.
