Watched Aledo OL Christian Miller

I saw the two-star OL who committed to SMU against Stephenville. Got on the sideline of the game.

Here's what I think:
1. He's all of 6-5 and closer to 290 than the 270. Of course, we know how weights can change. Bearcat coaches are playing him at guard not tackle.

2. He definitely had a size advantage over his Stephenville OL counterparts.

3. Aledo offensive coaches like to pull him a lot. I thought his lateral movement was decent nothing exception.

4. When he blocked straight ahead, he pretty much pancaked people. There were a few assignments that he blew where his block was kind of weak. Not sure if it was by design but I don't think so.

5. I think he's a little raw and probably needs to be redshirted -- most linemen are at the college level anyway.

6. But for a first game, not bad. I would suspect that he will continue to get better as the season goes along.

Good stuff, Georgie. Keep us posted if you see him again.

I have him verified at 6-5, 287. You don't need to know how I know. I just do.

Also, it turned out this was a pretty easy commit for us. Miller has a bunch of family members that went to SMU including a sister, uncle, aunt and cousin.

He's been attending games since he was 3. Supposedly, Kansas, Utah and Kansas State were going to offer until we did. The rest is history.

I have been told from a very reliable source that UT went to three of Aledo's games last year to look at him, but offered the Mason Walters from Friendship instead. Not bad! Also, it's a brother and not a sister that attends SMU.

Thanks. I knew I was going to mess up with the number of immediate and extended family members who went there and are going there. Seems like a very respectful young man.
