Not up to date with the 2009 commitments. How would you rate the overall group if they were to sign today? Has JJ done a good job recruiting so far? Look forward to hearing the answers of those that follow this lot closer.

SMU is getting better players under JJ than Bennett received. What really has hurt SMU and a big reason why SMU has lost for over 20 years is the stringent admission requirements that have not allowed SMU to attract quality Div. 1-A transfers and juco players. SMU has been stubborn in accepting credit hours and allowing these kids in school, while our competition has supplemented their rosters with these transfers and juco players which allows them to redshirt the freshman who are not ready to play Div. 1-A. Meanwhile, SMU trots out way too many freshman and redshirt freshman who are not prepared to play Div. 1-A football. We have all been told this garbage is going to change so we will see if JJ gets any transfers or Juco players after the season.
Thanks Stallion. Does look better, just gonna take patience.
What hurt just as much was losing all the time. Hence the collective point about this season not being a sacrifice season. Things go a lot smoother recruiting-wise when your team is winning and in the news constantly for doing so (okay, okay, those requirements had a lot to do indirectly with losing, but you get my point, right?).
