Auburn Commitment Visiting for Game

looks like a real longshot but at times like this I am reminded that Phil Bennett once said that if we can only get them on campus then we can get them. Send him directly to the Boulevard.

Sounds like his mind is made up. The only way we're gonna snag him is if he gets tag teamed by some sorority girls on his visit.

I'd say so-but hey you never know. I think a good strategy for a non-BCS school is to be the back-up strategy for as many top recruits as possible. A school like Auburn could run out of scholarships or they might have a Coaching change. I've seen so many recruits list 5 National Powerhouses and add in one smaller school like Tulsa. And guess what the Powerhouse school offers dry up and he falls to Tulsa.

I hate it when you are right. It adds to your hubris. I just need to remind myself that you did indeed say that Jones would never consider SMU about the time, actually, that it appears that he did consider SMU, if you believe the scuttlebutt told at the dinners.

But on this, you have a strong point. I so hate that.

In addition, it never hurts to be on the transfer list. One redshirt year at the major school, ride the pine one year, get frustrated, transfer and sit out one year. You have a 21 year old player with 2 years to play.
Just send 'da money.
