Miami recruit from Duncanville interested in SMU

Duncanville WR Chase Joubert (6ft 180lb 4.41 40) sent his tapes to SMU recently because he likes the idea if staying close to home. Miami has already offered him but he has not committed to them yet.

appears to have legitimate speed. As a Junior he finished 1st or 2nd in at least 5 meets in the 200 Meters(see below). There are better times around the state but still pretty competitive for a Junior Season.

The "Great" Max Emfinger has him as a National Top 300 prospect.

Ran a pretty darn good 21.49 200 Meters at the Regionals. According to the second source he is 7th on a list of the runners with the Top times in the Area with a 21.38.

Made an initial DFW Top 50 released last February. Transitioning after transferring from Arlington Grace Prep.

That is CRAZY...this kid has a Miami - Fla offer and we are hesitating?

I would run off a PB player before I let him get away.

June Jones has to recruit to fit his system. I'd bet that a lot of guys on last year's Hawaii team didn't have Miami offers ... but the Canes didn't go 12-0, either.
