originally from South Grand Prairie-signed but never qualified at OU. Now a JUCO at Trinity Valley. Out of High School was rated the 9th best Safety in America and was a 4 star(5. . Runs even better than a 4.7......

I can't believe I'm saying this about TCU, but the rich keep getting richer. We are not even close to being on TCU's level when it comes to recruiting.....or playing.

Do we really want or need a guy who is not smart enough to qualify at OU. I do not recall OU being one of the top academic schools in the country. 4 stars on the field and no stars in the class room/head.

if he can play, then I say yes. Have you seen our defense the past two years?

On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?

Our defense has been miserable; however, you need to be smart enough to learn a defensive scheme and stay in school.

No you don't, talent trumps all. I'm tired of graduating the most players in the nation and being in the bottom ten. I hope we beat TCU on ESPN one day and one of our players is screaming, "WE GOT DAT METAL BABY!!!"

This school of thought is exactly why we are where were we are. TCU gets it, and we don't....well we haven't in the past. Hopefully we are moving in the right direction.

I suppose that all you have to do is get him on the field...get him facing in the right direction and let his instincts take over. Keeping him elgible might be a bigger problem. But what the hell...it might very well be worth the effort.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

im not saying we would not love to see him here - we would - but I predict he does not ever hit the field for them due to academics - if OU cant keep him in school nobody can..... Plus 5-11 is a bit short for a elite safety - if this is indeed what he is ...more the size of one of our safeties - no? - guess the speed makes up for that issue.
