Tamir Jackson to Rice

That's a huge hoops commit for Ben Braun. Jackson is all player, lit up Oak Hill for 30 plus on ESPN last year. Can't say I'm happy about this, Doh needs Russell or Aaron Dotson. Hoops is an arms race.
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.”- Jalen Jones

Not sure if we ever recruited this guy but I like what Doherty has done in terms of the players he has brought in and the guys he is targeting. Based on offers from UAB, Va Tech, and Miami, in addition to Rice he seems to be on par with some of the other better "gets" we have had the last 2 years.

Didn't see the ESPN game you are referencing but 30+ on Oak Hill is a SERIOUS game!

Its funny, that thread you linked has Maryland as someone who might get involved after he opted out of UAB. I know the fans at Maryland were pleading that the staff get involved, but they never even sniffed the kid.
