I don't recall any of this year's coaches getting mocked. From what I have read they have been given solid reviews by rivals, ESPN, Scout, and others. Marquis was a 3 star in HS and is retaining that rating. It will be interesting to see what Deonte McDade wil end up being rated as he is having a really good year.

The question is whether we will keep them.
Two years from now will be the bellweather if we can keep these guys. I don't like conceding a year; feels like giving up. I'd like us to win out and go to a bowl a la Rice two years ago. However, absent that, I'd like to see a 4-8 or 5-7 season this year, winning season and minor bowl next year, the conference championship the following year, and a run at Top 25 the next two years. Who knows, if the program shows consistent improvement, perhaps we could play in a New Year's Day bowl game by the end of Jones' tenure (notice, I didn't say BCS...I said New Year's Day bowl game). aren't Juco signees pretty much all 3-stars by default?
I will not make age an issue in this campaign. I'm not going to exploit for political purposes my opponent's youth and inexperience.
Jeez, why stop there? I'd like Superman to fly around the world really fast and back up time to the beginning of the season and then go undefeated and win the national championship. I'd kill for a Nobel Peace Prize.

Is that kind of like the naivete you were ripping on when you assured the faithful that June Jones would never come to SMU? Oh sophisticated and wise one, you know all. ![]() <puke> ![]() "Moderation in all things, and especially in Absoluts [vodka]." The Benediction, Doc Breeden, circa 1992
