Another Dotson Update

There is a report now on LSU's rival site concerning Dotson's SMU trip. To avoid getting this deleted, I'll paraphrase:

- Said it went well.
- Said he saw the "Mavericks Training Facility" which he called "good."
- Said it was a stark contrast to LSU and that LSU had "bigger" [not size but stature] athletics. Said it wouldn't be a huge factor, but would be somewhat of a factor.
- Said SMU was "what they told me it would be."
- Still claims to have no favorite, but has a visit to Louisville this weekend, has an in home from a LSU assistant, and will visit Washington before making a decision.

As stated in the other thread, I think this would a huge pickup. We need a SG....

I know Louisville is Louisville, but Freedom Hall is an old barn in the middle of the fairgrounds next to Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom. And we beat them out for Papa. Has anyone ever flown to Seattle and not had an adventure with flight delay, flight delay, flight delay, three hour flight, gloomy weather, then the same thing in reverse?

LSU did do a good job renovating the Maravich Center. But he should look across the street and see what rules at LSU...and it ain't basketball. They went to the final four...then fired their coach a couple of years later.

Come to Dallas Mr. Dotson.

UL is building a very nice new arena in downtown on the river that should be open in a year or so.

well damn. Glad the Crum center was done so he could see it here. I kind of like Louisville's downtown, btw. All of those midwest river towns look the same, though. Go across the river from Cincinnati, to the Kentucky side, and you'd think you're in Louisville.

They will recruit over him @ the Ville. Pitino is having his way on the trail.

That paraphrase of the Dotson LSU article didn't sound too promising. I'm feeling Russell. Doh needs to have a few tricks up his sleeve. Need some forward momentum and its hard to tell what is happening on 09
