I don't think I saw this name on this site, so I thought I should pass this along because he lists SMU among his schools of interest. I'm guessing he'll go to Oregon State because he's upset with Oregon...but I'm sure that a 6'3", 310-pound, JUCO DT (with 3 years of eligibility) would make BUS and the rest of you happy.

Defensive tackle Myles Wade (Yuma, Ariz./ Arizona Western JC), one of the top rated players in the JUCO ranks, gave an early commitment to the Oregon Ducks. We received a press release this morning from Wade saying he has now decided to back off his commitment and will open up his recruitment.

Wade originally signed with the Ducks as part of the class of 2007 but failed to qualify. He played at Arizona Western a year ago and earned 2nd team All-American honors after totaling 62 tackles and seven quarterback sacks.

Academically, Wade is on track to potentially graduate early and sign in December allowing him to participate in spring practice. He'll then have three year to play three at the college he selects

Wade said he is hearing from several teams and is interested in UCLA, Oregon State, USC, Cal, Arizona, Boise State, LSU, SMU, Hawaii, Colorado, Portland State and a few others. He indicated that his first choice would be to play in the Pac 10 with Oregon State being his favorite right now.

here are some quotes

"I want to win a BCS national championship," says Wade, who committed to Oregon this summer. "I want to be the defensive MVP of that game. I want to be the Lombardi Award winner of that season. I want to be college football's Defensive Player of the Year when it's over. It sounds crazy, I know. But those are the things I want and I'm working hard to get them."

"I don't buy into anything that won't help me do what I want to do," says Wade, who is rated the No. 1 player in Oregon and the nation's No. 95 recruit in the Class of 2007 by RISE. "I don't drink. I don't smoke. I don't party and I don't have time for girls. I don't participate in that because it could keep me from getting where I want to go. That stuff is not in the plan. My priorities are God, family, school and football. Everything else is going to have to wait."

"I want to be the best player ever to play the position," says Wade. "That may sound cocky, but I'm just confident. I want to be the best at what I do and at what I play. Look at Jerry Rice. Now, every young wide receiver wants to be like him. I want to be that player to other kids someday."

"I size up offensive linemen when I'm in a one-on-one situation," he says. "I stare them down. If they look away or look down, it reinforces for me that I'm going to overpower them. When I get into my stance, I can sense whether or not he's comfortable with what he's about to do. Over the course of a game, I get inside their head that way."

"I don't know everything, so I have to learn as much as I can now and at the next level to get to the NFL," says Wade. "I'll be 17 in my first college season and I'll be going up against guys who are 21 and 22 years old. I'll be a kid versus grown men. It'll be a big adjustment, but I know that with a few more tools, I won't get pushed around. It'll bring out my best."

he found out he had not qualified academically for Oregon.

He made the junior college all-region second-team, notching 54 tackles (five solo), with 3 1/2 sacks. Wade took over at one defensive tackle spot in the second game and started the next eight for the Matadors (2-8).

More important, Wade expects to attain about a 3.0 grade-point average in his first college term.

Wade, who bench-presses 480 pounds and leg-presses about 600, says he and some buddies clocked one another in the 40-yard dash. His time, he says: 4.87 seconds. The combination of strength and speed is what prompted UO coach Mike Bellotti to once call the 6-2, 320-pound Wade one of the country’s most physically gifted prep defensive tackles.

Go get him June" the horse" Jones.

We have a great learning center to help this young man get his education. We also have a D that could use his size, speed and attitude.

Next year we have Evan H. and he could use some help.

SMU
Super Model University

The BUS would be electified.

Did you read the first link on this thread? He decommitted from Oregon and said that he was upset with Oregon's coaches and would not be going there.

Rivals is out of date in this case--the player was not interested in any other school because he was a solid Oregon commit...until a few days ago when he publicly decommitted. He issued a press release that Rivals apparently hasn't seen yet.

The latest rivals article on him says he has re-opened his recruitment and the article does mention SMU in the list of the schools he his hearing from or would like to hear from.

Wade didn't give specifics as to why he was de-committing only calling it, "irreconcilable differences" with the Ducks program and staff.
