CUSA Shows Dramatic Improvement in Recruiting?

I really don't pretend to know much about recruiting in other parts of the country-but if you can rely on Rivals rankings as at least somewhat accurate then CUSA seems to be getting much stronger in recruiting than in previous years. With 2 weeks before signing date, CUSA has shattered the previous records for recruiting top talent:

2009- 8 Four Stars, 92 Three Stars

2008-1 Five Star, 3 Four Stars, 60 Three Stars

2007-2 Four Stars, 59 Three Stars

2006- 1 Four Stars, 45 Three Stars

Of course, this assumes that Rivals has consistently applied its Star System over the years-who knows but it is interesting to see such a dramatic improvement. Guess I should compare to other competing conferences to see if this is truly CUSA improvemernt or grade inflation. It also means "same old, same old" won't cut it. It would be nice if CUSA has essentially doubled the number of top flight athletes entering their schools in just 4 recruiting seasons.

interesting observation. I wonder if it in part has to do with CUSA teams bringing in a higher caliber of coach too.
