How is Rice number 77, and us 78 when We have one 4* and seven 3*. Rice has three 3*. We also have 3 more recruits. Not to mention we have a higher average stars per recruit at 2.35 vs 2.13.

Yet they have 205 points. And we have 190...

they also have only 3 guys at 5.4 !! And a lot of 5.2 and 5.1 of which we have very few.

Also their 3 3* are all 5.5 while we have 3 5.6 and a 5.7

I dont get it

Either does anyone else. Happens every year that I can recall. Rivals awards magical mystical bonus points. Don't try and figure it out. The only thing that might rationally explain part of it is the fact that Rice signed a Kicker who although only a 3 star maybe ranked at the Top at his position nationally. Rivals awards extra points for National, State and Position top rankings. But I still think its magical, mystical Bonus Points. How could Rivals award more points to a 3 star commitment even if he was Lou Groza than SMU receives from a 4 Star Commitment.

SMU 1-11
Rice 10-3

They must have better commitments

He was a 3-star with a 5.7 Rivals Rating - same as Darius Johnson.

every school has these kids-other schools have more than SMU-even Rice this year has 2 from Alabama and Michigan. I think Division 1A Transfers transfers would likely hurt SMU's ranking not help it. Remember Tulsa is getting G. J. Kinne from UT, UTEP and UH will usually add about 3-4 of these kids. I think Tulsa's got an Arkansas transfer coming in.
