Is the keeper about to explode in frustration?

I'm sure all the sunshine talk has got him going balistic.

He's probably thinking,
"Have you people learned nothing from me over these years? We do not have enough this, this or that. We clearly have not reached this level at this. Our recruiting has improved slightly but nothing earth shattering. We're still going to need 4-5 years to see the effects of the model take hold.''

I feel like I'm holding your collective hands. God, you people are so stupid. But that's why you need me.''

So does this imply I can unfurl the SMU Flag to hang over my dock again?

I think he's calling you a pie-f'er, Silent Bob.

Now quit playing with your [deleted] and tell us some more good scoop about these recruits. We are starved for your insight.

I have just as much if not more venom for Stallion than anyone. More for his love affair with himself than his actual sports points which often do have at least a modicum of respectability. But to come to his defense (vomit) our recruiting has been atrocious for several years and this more than anything has been the reason for our disappointing seasons. This class is a very nice indication of what COULD happen if we start to win a few games and show kids that SMU is a viable option again.

Honestly the lack of attention on the defensive line is a serious concern, as is the fact that we missed out on a couple of really nice players like Rufus Porter, Lazari Middleton, and Antonio Parker that would have made this a VERY interesting class. We still lack playmaking ability on defense, although I like the speed we've added particularly at linebacker. Offensively I'm very impressed with the skill guys we were able to snag, but outside of Fontana and Atchison, the rest of the offensive line recruits are serious projects. I think this is a nice class, but not particularly overwhelming on paper. This is a class that will at the very least allow us to compete with our C-USA foes athletically.

The thing to remember is put this class in the context of the fact we won one freaking game last year and still put together a class that looks to have a handful of real difference makers. Jones commented on how many guys we were able to get into our Junior Day and I fully expect us to have a significantly better recruiting class next year than this year. This is a very encouraging step forward, but lets not start making room in the trophy case just yet.

I don't like pie.

Well, I like pumpkin pie.
Chocolate pie is not bad except I don't like that white crap on it.
I threw up eating banana cream pie once
Vanilla ice cream can't save apple pie
Don't care for cherry pie
Blueberry pie is too messy
Key lime pie is gross

I thought you meant pie as in the desert. If we're talking about the other thing, then I'll just tell you I have more game than Papa Dia has this year.

Why was I placed in the middle of this pie-throwing contest?

I haven't been that critical of this Class-its right there in the 5,6,7 range in the conference. Its by no means at the top though. Now give me a Phil Bennett Class in his final 3 years ...

It doesn't take much to be better than zero.
