Texas Football is doing a very good job with their analysis of all the Texas teams. Maybe there is life at Texas Football.

Look at the clip on Aron Franklin.
His 1st catch he looks like he breaks 10 tackles.

Thanks for pointing that out-for those that didn't notice the highlited players in the list have highlites tapes. Franklin looks great-just like a guy that gets about 15 yards everytime he touches the ball. This is most extensive look at Franklin there is on the internet.

I heard that Mitch Enright would not return, but this is the first time i've seen it mentioned.

Well that's not was the Texas Football article says. It says that Ben Hughes is a year away and that Enright will graduate "at the end of 2009" before passing the torch to Hughes. Is Enright not playing this coming year?

mcjunkin did a servicable job last year as an undersized true freshman...if he bulks up, he'll be a good center. it would be nice to see hughes redshirt and start only in his 4th or 5th year after maturation

SMU should bite the bullit and redshirt ALL the Offensive Linemen, definitely Padron, all the Mini-me LBs, the DEs and most everybody else other than maybe guys like Darius Johnson, Donte McDade, James Scott, Gamble and a few others that are physically ready to play or play at positions where freshman can step in immediately. You are not helping the long term development of the program by playing true freshman at Offensive Line-in the long run you are hurting your program by forfeiting a year of physical development. Play them only because of emergencies. Padron is going to be split in half if he tries to play this year. For every freshman that plays significant minutes you are probably going to lose another game because of it. If we are going to play 15-18 freshman next year like last year then its going to be another long year on the Hilltop.

Word is that Ben Hughes and Christian Miller have agreed to greyshirt. That would mean 2009-greyshirt, 2010-redshirt, 2011-start playing. Gives them time to mature, etc.

I also heard that Loftus is redshirting. So that is 3. 5 more to go. Lets say 3 dont qualify. Which gives us two more who need to greyshirt. What about Jordan Favreau? He is a little undersized. An extra year would do him good I think. Any guesses on who the other greyshirt would be? I am guessing one of the LB's
