Our new offers look like they have, or are going to have, lots of BCS offers incuding our new qb offer.

We're stepping up to a whole new level of competition for players now, they're guys that Stallion won't complain about (most of them though the staff isn't afraid of short-ish OL which he will complain about).

We'll see if the staff can really take the hot girl to the prom...

If you have a membership to Rivals and can look at the offer list, do it - there's no doubt we are going after the big fish in 2010.

This is fantastic to see and a great sign, although obviously it means little until we start landing a few.

Winning 4-5 games this year would help a ton - another 1 or 2 win season and its all going to end up as an exercise in futility.

We may win 4 or 5. However I am waiting to see how Bo does in Spring before I decide how many games we may win. Even without knowing how Bo has improved I am guessing 3-9. JJ said a large portion of this class will play didn't he? Great, another year of all true freshman!

Is there a reason we have to stop at 4 or 5?

(Not that I am expecting us to win more than 3 or 4--unless there is a massive improvement defensively--but if we are going after kids of this level, perhaps we should consider what a half-way decent season would do for us! A win in Pullman could do wonders.........)

If they get Stephen Hopkins, it would be a big get IMO. But it would be a change in systems for him. FM Marcus likes to run out of the Power I formation, and he is usually prone to get between 22-25 carries per game.

It would be a matter of McKnight and the other coaches overcoming the BCS offers and convincing Hopkins he can be an effective runner in this offense, in spite of a lower volume of touches.

The only thing that coaches say that is somewhat of an issue with Hopkins is his breakaway speed to finish off runs. But he improved in that area from his sophomore to junior year. Don't know if he runs track, but you would hope he does.

Have we offered this quality of player in the recent past? Or have we not even made an attempt?

Seems like this last year JJ really went for the high 3 star types. And it seems like he is going after 4 star types (judging from the offers many already have) this time.

Bennett did not go for many highly ranked players. There was a ponyfans article some time ago that said an ex player from SMU was the coach at a high school. An SMU coach was there and asked about a player. When told he had BCS offers the Coach laughed and said something along the lines of Forget it then.

Stallion, I assume he would fit your idea of a top-tier QB? I know you've been saying for some time that we should be in the running for them.
