No. 1 RB in the Country. Believe it or not TCU fans have been discussing all week how Brown apparently visited a TCU practice last week and TCU was under strong consideration.

based on what I've read and the stunts he's pulled over the past 6 months, the kid comes with some serious baggage

So does his new coach.

I'd say landing this guy makes up for (some of) Lane Kiffin's gaffes early in his tenure in Knoxville.

Mark my words, Tennesee will become a powerhouse again under Kiffin. With Kiffin, his dad Monty Kiffin, and Ed Orgeron on the staff, they are going to pick up some serious talent. Monty Kiffin was one of the best DC's in the pros for a long time and Orgeron is among the better recruiters out there. I hate Tennesee(and most of the SEC), but I can't help but see them competing for some championships in the coming years.

As much as that guy has spit in the face of the other SEC schools in his short time, my guess is that you could see the SEC break ranks and turn this dude in for every recruiting infraction - large and small.............

After working for Al Davis, can you blame him?

Then the SEC will follow the SWC into staggered sanctioned NCAA probations. Remember when the SWC turned into one large finger pointing conference. A&M turned in SMU, UT turned in A&M, SMU turned in UT, Someone turned in TCU, SMU players also turned in SMU, Tech turnedi in UH, and so Frank Broyles packed his bags and left before fingers started pointing northward. Only Rice and Baylor somehow stayed below the radar even though Baylor won two SWC titles in that period. So, if fingers point at Tennessee, you'll see fingers pointing back at Alabama, LSU, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Arkansas, Ole Miss, and only Vandy and MSU will keep below that urination contest.

And all they will do is "sanction" themselves before the NCAA gets to them and nothing will come of it. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if all of the SEC "united" against Kiffin. Doesn't help when you start stuff with the Ol' Ball Coach and the HC of the National Champion...especially when you have no skins on the wall.

I think they will gang up on the newcomer. Too much money and prestige to blow each other up like the SWC did.

What are the chances this guy ever plays for UT? There's some talk out there that he didn't make his test score or grades, or both. Anyone know?

Bryce Brown graduated in December, so I doubt he has any academic issues. You may be thinking of that David Oku kid that supposedly up and moved from Oklahoma to Lincoln for his last semester because of the "courses they offered" (and by courses, I mean girlfriend in Lincoln.) I think there is some concern that Oku may not qualify for next season.

Brown is the one with the agent.....I mean, um, recruiting service......that could be problematic if anything more were to come to light. (Not saying there is anything more to it, but if there is...it will be a problem.)

Yeah before it's said and done, I think his recruiting coach is going to have some questions to answer.
