For the record, it appears that Armen is doing a great job with that site...and I loathe the idea of paying for access to anything...but I am considering it because of the content...I guess my question is whether his site measures up to the great marketing and taglines that he puts up to get people to bite...

Yes most seem to feel the job he does is usually better than the hype. The guy at Scout is doing a great job too. Finally, getting the types of information that the supporters of big schools have been getting from years. The DMN is next to worthless. Its going to be a very informative Spring.

This is extremely good because the report came from the aTm reporter as he was asking about aTm. Then D.J. names SMU as his favorite. I don't know if when the last time we had a 4 star running back come to SMU (Maybe Reggie Dupard or Jeff Atkins) but it's been a while.

He has offers from Florida, Arkansas, Texas Tech, SMU, and Baylor.

If you join the SMU rivals web site does this give you access to the other rivals sites also? Ex: I am a member of SMU rivals site, can I look at Texas Rivals site?

That was a question of mine, too. Yeah, you can. You can only read the SMU premium board but you can still read all stories over the Rivals network, including the Texas site. It works for me. I had a few collegiate stops so it's nice to keep up with several of my programs.

Coach in the same district that this kid plays in. Was actually watching film on Denison earlier this week and remembering from this past season. Anytime we mention Denison this kids name is the one brought up and in my opinion he is pretty "real deal." Excellent vision, balance, and plenty fast. Would be VERY excited if he decided on SMU.....VERY.

We need more Yellow Jackets on our team.
DJ from their football team & TJ from their basketball team.
DJ is a really solid young man. I also watched him play some basketball this season & he made the all defense team in his district.

I checked the roster and signing day release and could not find a player from Denison on it. He mentioned there was another kid -- linebacker -- on it.
Did I overlook something?

DJ says OU already has a running back, making SMU a better fit. Says he really likes SMU. Says he wants to set up a visit, maybe before he goes to A&M. Knows we're starting spring ball, likes the fact that we're "down the road" from his hometown.

I can't remember JJ ever getting a 4-star RB in Hawaii...of course, there weren't many (any?) 4-star RB recruits in the state during those 9 years. Wes Suan can point out that he was the RB coach to 2 NFL draft picks in 2006. Neither player did that well in the NFL, but there were mitigating circumstances.
Reagan Mauia started his entire rookie season but the management change at Miami resulted in a new system (requiring FBs to catch better and play on special teams), plus he got arrested for an off-field incident (I think it was a fight in a parking lot). Nate Ilaoa had problems with his weight over his college career (he started as a fairly light slotback and ended up being a huge RB, with JJ publicly criticizing his weight gain on at least one occasion) and was told by the Eagles to lose weight...and reports said he was even heavier than he was in college.

As always Garret, good info. Thanks
