It was part of a secret experiment. The experiment produced twins. The 6'5" kid turned out great, you should see his twin though, probably only about 4' and rather rotund for his size.

Good to know JJ is thinking long term here. Once he's winning he needs to stick around.

I bet this kid isn't finished growing and ends up playing basketball.

For those who care, the kids name is Kelly Helinski. He will be attending Sherman Oaks Notre Dame high school (in California) as a freshman this fall.

Does anyone else besides me find it interesting that JJ is looking at talent that will not be elgible for college until at least four years from now? Does that imply that he plans to still be here then and beyond or am I reading too much into this?

Hey, ExP, how 'bout you and me and '94 head to Cali in an unmarked white van on a little "recruiting" trip. Maybe we can put him up in the basement of Ford Stadium and he can play at HP (or Jesuit) until he's old enough.
Don't forget to bring the Fruity Pebbles. Lots of Fruity Pebbles.... and maybe some blow.

Why would you say that? That's silly. That's like saying an incoming college freshman could start for an NFL team next year. Who's the hotshot freshman at USC  Matt Barkley? I'm sure he's got all the talent in the world, but that doesn't mean he's ready to start for a pro team.
Have you seen him play? Do you know anything about him aside from the fact that he's tall?
