Posted: Fri Aug 07, 2009 7:25 pmLets be honest...College Basketball will never be the same. Most upper echelon high school basketball players realize that college ball is a 1 year mandatory stop before they can declare for the NBA draft.
That being said, Coach Doh will have a hard time recruiting players like this one to come to SMU because..well.. we aren't a perennial Final Four team.
The landscape is different.

Add in that they also get coverage throughout the midwest including on Chicago, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Detroit TV markets. Let's see that's four cities with NBA franchises. If you can make a splash in the Big Ten in basketball, you have a future.

You can grab these kids to play at a lower level like SMU, just prepare to cheat. It's no secret that Memphis, UNLV back in the day, and now schools like FIU, play fast & loose to be competitive.
