in the Sunday paper-haven't seen it online yet. Don Canyon rated No. 72 at QB. Since no other commitments are from the area he's the only one on the list.

I agree with your earlier prediction that claims that we're full for next year are premature. I would think we'll end up offering more guys, and hope there will be additional names from the DFW area.

Also looking forward to seeing how many guys are on the state top 100 list.

The 2010 Texas Top 100 is out . None of SMU's commitments are on it.

I don't know who said we were not going to take anymore players. Coach Jones said that there were a few more players that had offers that they are waiting on to make their decision. And I believe that was at the CUSA conference. I know at least one is an RB we would take. But I believe Coach Jones said in the video that we were pretty much through recruiting (except for the offers mentioned above) and now will start looking at the 2011 kids.

I agree. All he said was they were through recruiting. He did not say they were through receiving committments.

If Texas Top 100 is the standard, looks like TCU is on par with Tech.

That is quite impressive and does not bode well for us.

Tulsa also looks like they have quite an impressive class.

Dallas vs. Tulsa vs. Fort Worth...no comparison

The Florida WR's will probably leave Tech after spending a few months in Lubbock.

TCU has been on par with Tech recruiting-wise and on-the-fields-results-wise for at least a decade. I cannot understand why this "does not bode well for us." Can you please explain?

Does TCU's success mean we cannot succeed too? To me, TCU is a model for how to succeed and is therefore a blueprint and a source of great hope that we can get it done too.

Ponyboy,

Agree 100% that we can match, even surpass, TCU's success given our superior location / academic reputation.

"Does not bode well for us" comment refers to the next 2-3 times we face them on the field.
