the thread is generally annoying, but several posts in there's a comment by a woman who says she's the mother of a 4 star recruit who may be committing to SMU soon. I don't know if BD refers to the player's initials or not. Any thoughts?

pretty positive thread from an SMU perspective, save for the first post.

Maybe DJ Jones has a brother whose name starts with a B?

DJ=4 star, offers from both A&M and SMU

SMU will never draw like the Aggies or the Horns, but the TCU-Utah game should be an example to any recruit out there that non-BCS programs that are committed to winning can be very, very good places to spend your college career.

Lots of guys on that TCU roster that were probably told similar things while they were being recruited by bigger schools - it's all about perspective...and it's good to hear that a top recruit and his family know that well.

The irony is that 3 of the SWC castoffs - Us, TCU, and Houston - are probably as attractive of a place for recruits as most of the Big 12 schools (other than the obvious UT, OU, and probably OSU and Nebraska) in terms of upside.

Interesting. This is my favorite line though--

Great now we are losing recruits to SMU

I liked this one...

Great. Moral victory #27. Our gameday atmosphere is better than SMU's. Rah-Rah-Rah.

I can't be Browning's Mom because Browning is a 3 star recruit. Wow, this is exciting news. I might look at the 4 star recruits that aTm is recruiting but have not committed with those initials.

Loved this one...

You wrote a 9 paragraph essay on how much better A&M is than SMU? Seriously? Is this what we've come to?

LMAO...

The only "BD" I've seen that has interest in both SMU and A&M is this no star, no offer kid:

Though, to be fair, he's a 4 star in his mother's eyes I'm sure.

I like his size and the fact that A&M and OSU are apparently recruiting him.
