There's a very good Holiday Basketball tournament going on tonight & tomorrow @ Collin County JC in Plano.
Collin County beat a very talented South Plains 57-54 tonight. South Plains was 7-1 coming into the game tonight & won the JC National Championship 2 years ago.
In a very exciting & physical game , Pats made 5-10 FG's, 2-6 3pt, 6-8 FT's, 5 rebounds, 0 assists & 5 steals. Finished the game with 18 pts against very good competition.
Pats is mainly playing the 2 position for an undersized CCJC team. I wanted to see him handle the ball much more than what he did tonight. He is not flashy, but he's very smart & unselfish. I would describe his 18 pts as quiet except he stood out @ crunch time.
He hit a big 3 & then went 4 for 4 from the free throw line in the closing seconds of the game.
I'm sure Coach Doh liked what he saw from the stands.

you know, I almost went to that game. My son and I were leaving the Oak Point rec center over on Spring Creek and we saw the South Plains bus pulling in, I guess bringing the team from its hotel. At least I hope so-I can't imagine the bus pulling in from a drive from Levelland about an hour before tipoff.

Patsevich had a solid game Wednesday night with 22 pts, 4 rebs & 4 assists.
He was 9-14 from the field, including 3 of 7 from 3 pt.
For the season, Pats is avg 13 pts per game.
He's shooting 46% for the field, 40% from 3 pt & 90% FT.
He is a very unselfish player & an excellent passer.
Pats is a 2 guard who can fill in at the PG in short stints. PonyDoh is right on the $$ when he says this program needs a legit PG either this spring or in next years recruiting class.

nice numbers, specifically the percentages. He's obviously quite skilled, and getting it done vs legit comp. McCoy gets his shot to be a real PG, and now we have a sniper at the 2. Still need another ball-hander, cause it isn't Clink. He's the combo. Figure out a way to get Walker/Harp to graduate early, j/k, or am I? Need an athetic wing w/some length as well.

Saw Pats play on Saturday.
After a scoreless 1st half, Pats hit 3 3pt & a
nice fadeaway in the lane in the 2 nd half. Finished with
11 pts in Collin Co. 18 pt win.
His highlight play was blocking a 3 pt shot,
scrambled to pick up the loose ball &
threw a no look, backwards over his head
1/2 court pass to his teammate for a layup.
Pats can really pass the ball. Appeared to be
on cruise control most of the game.
