A legal bump

I was meandering through our local mall at lunch and found myself in the middle of a herd of Shiloh Christian football players in town for the State Championship game tomorrow. I was able to separate one from the herd and ask if the coaches were with them. He said they were on the bus, so I mentioned to him I just wanted to get word to them that we at SMU would sure like for Samuel Harvill and Kiehl Frazier to join our team in Dallas. He said he would be sure and let them know since he was Frazier's brother. BTW, the brother was a pretty good sized DT and only a 10th grader. Needs a little pumping up but certainly had the frame for a NG. I let him know he needed to get in touch with us in the future. I left fairly quickly just so there would be no question of impropriety.

And why would that be. There was nothing improper done. It was no different than asking for directions on the street. I know the rules. I merely asked where the coaches were and told a curious young man why I was looking for them. I did not know who he was until he told me and when he did I said that I would not say any more because I did not want to do anything improper. Tell me what I did that should be nuked.

Nothing on the surface, but why leave it up to others to pick apart.

OK. You smart guys all win. Be sure that no one ever goes to a mall at Christmas time because there may be a potential college player there. And remember, he or she could be just a baby so if you see a mom pushing a baby in a stroller be sure not to say coochy coochy coo or you might get banned as a booster. Me thinks some of you might want to read the rules on recruiting and contact.

Get over it guys...time to do it on the straight and narrow...like Texas does, assign a well-healed alumn to each player, make sure he wants for nothing, entertained royaly (wasn't that named for some coach?) and has plenty of spending money, just don't talk about it!

Tennessee recruits get hostesses, Kiehl Frazier brother meets Mrydel, SMU is not recruiting on a level of BCS schools. LOL.

Mrydel did not mention whether or not he had on his hostess dress. Do not be so quick to judge.
