Unheralded Dartmouth QB Commit Heating Up All Star Game

Postby Stallion » Sat Jan 09, 2010 3:46 pm

Cole Marcoux from a small school in the Bronx won a Reality Show invite to the Army High School All Star Game and will probably have 30 schools knocking on his door on Monday. 6-5, 210 or so. Only offer Dartmouth who I'm sure wished he'd never played.

in other news Florida has got commitments from 3 recruits rated the No. 5, No. 9 and No. 14 rated recruits in the entire nation in a couple of hours and unseating UT as the No. 1 ranked class in the nation-not a bad day

The few times I took it added up to even more than that.

I am not saying they are rare I am just saying in you look at who he contacted it was mostly schools that are known for their academics... If UConn comes calling I don't think he cares...

My friends parlayed their 32 ACT scores nto IVy scholarships b/c they would have trouble getting in without football...

Good points, though I'm not quite sure what an "Ivy scholarship" is since the Ivy League forbids athletic scholarships (and, further, all "grants" are need-based)

I have found that my friends that went to those schools got a head start over my SMU friends, but it is starting to even out, and many of my SMU friends have done their graduate level stuff at U of C, Ivys, NW, Stanford...

SMU is very well regarded by those universities and with excellent job experience you can write your ticket to grad school and still have the best 4 years of your life at SMU...

I wouldn't have traded it for Northwestern which was my other school...of course I live 45 minutes from NW..
