I will put what is on the front page. This is a major hit.
REAKING NEWS: The SMU coaching staff had to feel strongly about their 2010 class just days away from signing day. But on Thursday night, they received a HUGE SURPRISE when a player decommitted from the program. Nobody saw this one coming and it's left the Mustangs in a real vulnerable position with signing day being next week. Get all the details

In reality we have to scramble in order not to take a double hit.

now that we can get kids in easier-there are going to be some kids that qualify late and everybody else is full. Not the best avenue but SMU might have to hold a scholarship for a DT and spread a wide net across the country for a late qualifier that can help-or even take 2-3 knowing that they may not qualify. If they run out of space they greyshirt somebody. Probably the biggest mistake would be to take a kid who really isn't Division 1A caliber just to fill a spot on signing date

there are late qualifying JUCOs as well that people couldn't sign in December because they had to graduate to sign in December. There are also guys who were full qualifiers as freshman JUCOs who can tranfer after their freshman year

I'm not really surprised as the kid seemed purple at heart!!! There is no way he could ever live down the wallpaper on his myspace page if he came to SMU.

I think he also felt the academics at SMU would have been tougher than TCU.

Plus the fact that SMU really didn't want him anyway.
