So, I'm finally getting around to reading the wonderful ponyfans recruiting roundup (after reading about the recruits is there anyway we don't win a BCS game??? Championship!), and I found this quote by Bordano great...

SMU Games Attended: TCU “I was going up there for a combine, but I didn’t get tickets from TCU. I bought my own ticket and sat with SMU fans.”

Spoken like a true Mustang.

Also, I always laugh when I see his picture. There is no doubt he is a bad [deleted] and could kick my [deleted] in a heart beat, but it's hard to take a guy serious with a jersey that says "UNICORNS", similar to a team having purple as their school color.

It makes me think of The Office and Princess Unicorn...My horn can pierce the sky!

I'm with you — the PF.com Recruiting Roundup was unmatched, as always, but that quote from Bordano really jumped off the page at me. How cool is it that the guy would go to Frog High in horrible weather and not even accept their offer of a ticket ... choosing, instead, to buy his own and sit with the Red and Blue faithful?

That's a man who isn't even enrolled yet, but definitely is a true Mustang to the core. The guy's making fans before he ever even suits up!

WAY TO GO, JOHN!

Sat right in front of him and we talked for awhile. Solid young intelligent man, and he was really excited to see how we played in that first half... Not so much in the 2nd half but with him on board I think we can change that.

I can't wait to see him play. If he's anything like his uncle ... how long until 2-a-days?
