TCU Gets 2 Commits From Tyler John Tyler

Home of last year's SMU commits Jeremy Johnson and Rickey Collins. I've seen Bush on several Top 100 Lists. Bush at least was considering SMU according to the Tyler paper. Already TCU has 3 of what look like consensus Texas Top 100s at this point. Maybe taking over from the Aggies who had a Junior Day this weekend and all I've heard has been the sound of crickets coming from A&M.

Of course you're hearing nothing from A&M. If you're a high school recruit in Texas, and wanted to stay in state, which of these would you choose:

--Large state university in young, growing city in the center of the state. Coming off a berth in the BCS championship and won a championship a few years ago. Nationally elite program.
--Glorified Cow College on plains of West Texas. Have had some recent success. Recently hired nationally prominent coach.
--Small private school in "Western" city with the amenities of a large metropolis. Loads of success recently. Coach is recognized as one of the best in the USA.
--Large urban university in state's largest city. Diverse student body (but most students are commuters). Recent success.
--Mid-Sized religiously-oriented university in small, run-down Central Texas city. Football team still praying for success.
--Small private school in large, economically diverse city. Once-moribund program has been recently revived by nationally acclaimed coach that has led a team to a BCS busting season.
--Isolated Mid-Sized state university on state's far western edge. Known for basketball success and football futility.
--Large state university in Denton.
--Very small, academically-elite school in state's largest city. Success in engineering programs has not translated to success on the field, save for two isolated seasons of recent.
--Cult headquarters poorly disguised as a glorified Cow College in a farm town poorly disguised as a college town. Once-proud football program is largely irrelevant in conference landscape. Only reason the coach is there is because he flamed out of the NFL.

Great, they'll be a 7-8 win team in 2013, then.

Nice offer list. He's got some filling out to do, but I'm sure the S&C guys in FrogLand will take care of that.
