Late addition to 2010 class?

Postby PonyPride » Fri Mar 26, 2010 10:33 pm

Offensive tackle Darryl Jackson (6-7, 290) of Lakewood (Mayfair HS), Calif., is on campus this weekend with his parents. He has been offered a scholarship, and his host this weekend is WR Chayse Joubert. He looks like he's every inch of the 6-7, and if it's possible to look "thin" at 290 pounds, he does. He has very wide shoulders and long arms, and looks like he could strap on a lot of weight.

I've heard he is unbelievably quick and athletic. Has anyone seen him in person?

And he hasn't committed anywhere previously, because....?
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Seems there are a lot of questions about this kid, but seems like he would be a good way to close out the class.

I've seen video on him, and he has great athleticism. Great feet, can really run, very serious prospect.

This is apparantly great news, but does anyone know the story on this young man. Why didn't some other Division I school gobble him up early on. There must be a story here somewhere.

ESPN had him listed as a tight end for whatever reason. No evaluation.

This sounds like a fantastic addition. I'm a fan of the class Coach Jones put together, but would have liked to see another offensive lineman, especially when you consider what PonyPride pointed out in his offensive line preview on the football page about how beat up the O-line is.
Welcome to SMU, Darryl!
