ESPN has him rated an 89, for whatever that is worth. 5'8 165.

He made the all-area team with a lot of good players and averaged 26 ppg as well as 6 assists and 5 rebounds. Sounds like he could be the PG we need. Not sure if he can jump in and contribute right away though...PonyDoh?

Fabyon Harris, Hyde Park, Senior, Guard
Scott Powers/ESPNChicago.com
Hyde Park's Fabyon Harris averaged 26 points, six assists, five rebounds and four steals for the season.
Despite losing nine seasons, Hyde Park has stayed afloat this season because of Harris. He's stepped up as one of the city's top players this season and helped his team to the Public League Tournament semifinals. He averaged 26 points, six assists, five rebounds and four steals for the season. He's received a number of mid-major looks.

"This year he's been more of a leader for us," Hyde Park coach Donnie Kirksey said. "That's really impressed me. He reminds me of Jerome Randle or Earl Boykins. He just has that attitude that he's not going to be beat."

I understand the big question is whether he will qualify academically.

He can play PG right away in CUSA. He'll make a ton of mistakes, but he'll never play scared and he's gonna compete. He's pretty much a nightmare to keep out of the lane.

Makes tons of mistakes yet doesn't play scared...and he is going to play for Coach Doherty??

I assume Doh will have no choice but to be patient with him and his mistakes since there aren't any better options on this team. I do look forward to another exciting and talented guard though - always fun to watch if they're allowed to play a little bit.

Well, frosh are going to learn on the fly. Just have to hope they make more plays then bad ones. Fab actually has a lot of Dwill in him, but he's a far better passer, especially kicking out. He'll find spot up shooters.

Now if we can just get him qualified...
