Scroll down to #99 & you'll find Jeremiah.
Watching the video on this dude, he certainly gets after it. It appears he sees the court well & & can score. I'm not being negative, but based on the video I saw, this kind of player can be found all over the metroplex. Also, the pony tail has to go.

Does this mean that Fabyon Harris didn't quailify? Could both be coming to the Hilltop this year?

I thought Fabyon didn't sign yet because of the unfortunate death of his brother, but was still planning on coming to SMU.

Florida's 3rd runner up for Mr Basketball can be found all over the Metroplex?
Also, that list is weird b/c kids like Haukur Palsson at #22 sucks. Papa Samba is #13 and we preferred Leslee Smith over him. #18 is Dennis Mavin, another PG we recruited, and probably could have had, but preferred Jeremiah. This is all about a coach's evaluation, seriously. You aren'y going to make sense of the numbers or even videos. This is about the head man finding a kid he liked more then most, that simple.

So I take it this is another one of the kids you like? I have no idea what to make of this signing. On one hand he is a 73 on ESPN recruiting, no info on him on rivals, and the above list has him ranked at 99th in Florida. On the other hand he is a strong candidate for Florida's Mr. basketball and was 5A player of the year. (I take it that he plays for a public school, and from the looks of their website that hs has really strong academics.) What gives? Is he really that good or really that mediocre/bad? I guess we'll find out in November.

if he's a true PG and can play, he should work his way into the rotation pretty quickly. Who else do we have to run the point? DWill assumed the role for us last year and did pretty well, but we need a guy who really sees the floor well and can make his teammates better.

love this quote from Fla Hoops
Jeremiah Samamppas (Bartow) is the point guard who makes it all go. He is a true lead guard with great vision and makes terrific decisions. When left open, he has the ability to make shots from the perimeter. His quickness makes it very difficult for opposing players on both sides of the ball. I overheard someone ask him who the best player is on Bartow. His response was, “the open guy.â€

This signing is really interesting. Seems like a departure from previous philosophy. Instead of elephant hunting, we went for a system fit. Opted for team assists, getting people involved, over kids w/higher ceilings, but are lead guards.
If you look at all 5 kids( Fab/Jfrog/Pats/Vilde & Smith), we've added a ton of skill, particularly shooting & passing

Looks to me that the HC didn't learn from his previous major recruiting mistake.
Bringing in 7 freshman & now 5 freshman.
Shame on me! Should have brought in 2 Jucos.
Don't buy that they can't qualify. Look @ DWill's situation, Ike, etc.
This team us going to have problems putting points
on the scoreboard IMO.
Wish them luck!
