There's a paid article about him? I never read the front page, I just go to this link on occasion and scroll through QB, RB, WR, etc:

I respect Rivals, but if I can find out that we have a new commit without being aware of it through a teaser then they need to work on how their "premium" content is disseminated.

He is listed under the 2011 commits, so it's not secret info. The new DT Wright isn't listed yet though

There is a free scout.com article indicating who he is. I think they actually broke the news.

Serra turns out a lot of good prospects. This is a great pickup. 44 TD passes as a junior at a big time program? Pretty awesome

from maxpreps.com

Conner Preston, Serra (Gardena), 6-2, 200, QB, Jr.
The transfer from Pacific Palisades provided the perfect weapon to get the ball to Serra’s outstanding group of receivers. Preston completed 203 of 308 passes for 3,437 yards and 44 touchdowns in leading Serra to a Division III state championship. He earned all-Northwest Division honors and was named to the all-area team by the Torrance Daily Breeze.

Colorado has to be hating us. This is the second year in a row we grabbed a QB they offered lol.

I was just looking for some more info on Preston, when I came across this quote:

So you just need to get under someone who knows the game. June ...

Conner on "getting to the next level.

Well I am sure this coaching staff is well suited to that and it is good to have goals but... a bit premature I would say.

In any case, welcome to SMU Conner.
:D

There has been speculation about this happening for a while. Hope he lives up to the hype. Sounds like June Jones subscribes to the Steve Spurrier theory that a team should sign a quarterback in every class.

Welcome to SMU!

Also, there are differing reports out there. Is it ConnOr or ConnEr?

We'll take his teammate too:

That is a program changing recruit. He could put 2k receiving yards and 15 TD's in CUSA.
