Does anyone know anything about Princeton HS OT Zach Rice? Rivals says that Houston and Rice are recruitng him. Maybe SMU should give him a look. He's a local player. Princeton is only about 8 miles east of McKinney.

I propose that your son be offered a full scholarship.

He's not my son. My boys are grown. I know that his coach is New York Giant Stacy Dillard. Princeton has been in 3A since '82 but still has small numbers in football like a 2A school so he probably won't get much high level experience. There big rival is Farmersville and TCU came in and got Michael Thompson, an OG, from that small town.
I know how TCU finds the small town players and makes a winning program out of them.
If this Zach Rice is good enough and can play for SMU I don't want him to be overlooked.
I do not know him personally. Princeton has had a couple of good players go overlooked in the past who I do know personally and wind up in places like Southern Arkansas playing another sport.

E-mail Jeff Reinebold or other coaches to let them know if you really think he's that good - hopefully the coaches aren't wasting time here like us. btw, the coaching staff appears very responsive. I've got a friend who's dad's a coach in a small 1A town outside of Austin who said Will Muschamp saw tape on the kid and went to their town afterthinking the kid was a sophomore. when he learned the kid was a junior this past year, he said UT was full and couldn't offer. my buddy e-mailed a coach here who e-mailed back within an hour asking for film. very long shot but I love the responsiveness. very little wasted time by the coach if the kid's not good enough to play.

With a name like Rice it sounds like he's a legacy there.
